Andrew first started working in the field of immigration law as a paralegal in 2015, and has never looked back. During law school, Andrew worked closely with the UCSF College of the Law’s Center for Gender and Refugee Studies, interpreting for asylum clients who had experienced violence and trauma. This, along with having lived in Mexico City for 4 years as a foreign exchange student shaped his cultural understanding of the unique challenges faced by many of his clients. Today he makes regular appearances on Spanish language news, hosts a radio program, and continues to volunteer his time every week at the San Jose Mexican consulate.
Chelsie is a paralegal with five years of experience in the legal field. After graduating from Santa Clara University, Chelsie worked in different areas of law before starting her immigration law career. She is dedicated to providing organized, compassionate support and helping clients feel informed and at ease during what can often be a stressful time. She loves contributing to positive outcomes and making a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients we serve.
Michelle was born and raised in San Jose, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and now work as an immigration paralegal and office manager. Michelle’s organizational skills and tireless dedication to our clients helps the office run smoothly and efficiently. She truly loves her job and helping people through the immigration process with care and support.
Yajaira has practiced law for more than 20 years, including the past 10 years in immigration law. She is especially drawn to this field because it helps bring families together rather than tear them apart. Regardless of the outcome, Yajaira understands the importance of treating clients with respect, dignity, and kindness. Yajaira’s core beliefs drive the passion and commitment she brings to her work – that everyone deserves their day in court and the chance to share their story.
Prior to coming to the United States, Aldo was a licensed attorney in Peru. Aldo personally has gone through the process of becoming an attorney in the United States and restarting his career here. This has made him keenly aware of how difficult it can be for many of our clients to adjust to life in the United States, especially given the current political climate.
Yessica is the Office Manager of our Ciudad Juárez office and the firm's dedicated Consular Processing Specialist. She serves as the primary point of contact during the consular processing phase, ensuring that every client feels informed, supported, and confident throughout the process. Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Paralegal Certification from AILA's University, she coordinates consular procedures, assists with required documentation, and personally prepares each client for their interview. Her work is guided by one core belief: that the client's experience always comes first.
As a Legal Assistant in our Ciudad Juárez office, Iván is dedicated to building trust with every client from the very first meeting. His background in Security and Public Policy provides a strong analytical foundation for evaluating complex immigration cases with care and precision. Committed to staying current on immigration law, Iván delivers personalized, compassionate support, ensuring every client feels informed and confident throughout their legal journey.
